Iran has seized another foreign tanker in the Gulf, Iranian state media say.
State TV quoted by Reuters said the Revolutionary Guard Corps' naval forces had "seized a foreign tanker in the Persian Gulf that was smuggling fuel for some Arab countries".
The IRGC's naval forces have seized a foreign oil tanker in the Persian Gulf that was smuggling fuel for some Arab countries," Press TV reported, referring to Iran's Revolutionary Guard and quoting IRGC commander Ramezan Zirahi as saying.
"The vessel was carrying 700,000 litres of fuel, and was carrying seven sailors, the TV station added, who have been detained
It said the tanker was carrying 700,000l of fuel, adding that seven sailors had been detained.
A video of the vessel being boarded by state TV shows what is likely a Oil Support Vessel, it further shows fuel being smuggled in what appears to be ballast tanks.
