According to the MTISC - GOG Website there have been no incidents reported offshore in the Gulf of Guinea since the 7th of May.

 

 

1. Title: Armed Attack - MTISC-GoG Alert # 074

Date: 07-05-2016

 

2 speedboats carrying armed pirates, chased and fired upon a tanker underway in pos: 03.42.0 N & 005.10.0 E at 15:00 UTC.

 

2. Title: Attack - MTISC-GoG Alert #073

Date: 05-05-2016

Place: 36 NM SW of Bayelsa coast, Nigeria

 

Armed pirates in a speedboat chased and fired upon a tanker underway in pos: 03.54.0 N & 005.32.0 E at 02:26 UTC.

 

 

3. Title: Attack - MTISC-GoG Alert # 072

Date: 04-05-2016

Place: 60 NM SW of Brass, Nigeria

 

A speedboat approached a vessel in pos: 03.54.1 N & 005.17.6 E at 00:20 LT. The armed guards onboard the vessel opened fire for preventing the pirates from boarding, and the pirates aborted the attack.
