213°/15NM from Bonny, NIGERIA
At 14:00Zhrs in position 04°11N – 007°00E, a merchant vessel was attacked by 12 armed POB who boarded the vessel. SSAS and alarm was raised and crew mustered in the citadel. Nigerian Navy Vessel closed the merchant vessel to assist. Pirates had already left. Crew are safe.

230°/8NM from Lagos, NIGERIA
At 01:10Zhrs in position 06°19N – 003°18E, an anchored merchant tanker near Lagos was boarded by at least 3 POB. When alarm was raised, thieves immediately jumped overboard and escaped in a speed boat. Nothing was reported stolen.
160°/20NM from Brass, NIGERIA
At 01:28ZHrs in position 03°58N – 006°12E, a merchant vessel was approached by a speed boat which tried to board the vessel twice. Speed boat left after merchant vessel raised alarm and activated fire hoses. All crew and vessel are safe

At 08:05ZHrs in position 03°45N- 006°15E, a merchant vessel was attacked and boarded South/30NM from Brass, NIGERIA. MDAT-GoG comment: This event refers to Advisory 005/DEC/17.
