330°/65 nm off Sao Tome
On 28 Dec 2019 at 0905 UTC, in position 01°19N 006°02E, a MT (NAME WITHHELD) was attacked. The MT performed evasive manoeuvres and the pirates gave up the attack.Vessel and crew were reported safe.

190° / 24 nm off Cotonou (Benin)
On 29 Dec 2019 at 1948 UTC, a vessel in position 05°56’37N 002°15’54E reported 2 speed boats with no lights drifting in the area. When within 2 nm, they pursued the vessel. The vessel altered course and increased speed in order to open bearing and distance.
192° / 35 nm off Bonny (Nigeria)
On 30 Dec 19 at 0114 UTC, a vessel was approached by a skiff in position 03°46N 006°43’43E. There was an exchange of gunfire between the security guards and pirates. The crew retreated to the citadel during the attack, with the exception of the Chief Engineer. After the exchange of gunfire the skiff moved away. Vessel and crew were reported safe.
217° / 185 nm off Bonny (Nigeria)
On 30 Dec 2019 at 2310 UTC, a vessel was boarded in position 01°56’30N 004°53’37E. The crew mustered and locked themselves in their cabins. A subsequent search showed no stowaways or intruders onboard. Vessel and crew were reported safe.

235° / 2.5 nm off Limbe (Cameroon)
On 31 Dec 19 at 0107 UTC, a vessel was boarded in position 03°58N 009°05E.

On 31 Dec 19 at 0630 UTC, a vessel was boarded by 3 thieves in position 08°42’30S 013°16’50E. The thieves broke the store padlock and stole a quantity of paint.
